POLIO TRAINING FOR FRONTLINE HEALTH WORKERS

25 Jun 2026 TRUNK ROAD, SILCHAR

Overview

The Rotary Club of Silchar organized a Polio Training Programme for frontline health workers, including ANMs, ASHAs, and Anganwadi Workers, to strengthen routine immunization and sustain a polio-free community. The training covered micro-plan reviews, vaccine cold chain management, safe vaccine administration, and effective interpersonal communication for community mobilization. Participants received hands-on demonstrations on the correct use of vaccine carriers, maintenance of ice packs, cold chain protocols, and safe administration of Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV). The programme enhanced the knowledge and skills of frontline workers, enabling them to deliver quality immunization services and promote public awareness. The initiative reaffirmed Rotary's commitment to End Polio Now and ensuring every child receives life-saving vaccines. 💜 "Together, we can keep every child protected and every community polio-free."
