The Rotary Club of Silchar organized a press meet on 20th May 2026 for its upcoming flagship event “SNEHABANDHAN (স্নেহবন্ধন) – District Seminar on Maternal & Child Health” under RID 3240, to be hosted at Silchar. The press conference highlighted the objectives and significance of the seminar, which aims to promote awareness, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative action for improving maternal and child healthcare. Media representatives were briefed about the participation of eminent pediatricians, gynecologists, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and social leaders from across Eastern India. Details regarding scientific sessions, awareness initiatives, and collaborative participation with the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Barak Valley Chapter, Indian Medical Association Cachar Branch, and Silchar Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India Cachar Branch were also shared.
