Rotary Club of Silchar, in collaboration with NNF Assam and the IAP Barak Valley Chapter, proudly hosted two impactful health initiatives aimed at promoting the well-being of mothers and children — a key focus under Rotary’s Maternal & Child Health area of service. 1.Health Check-up Camp for Women: Organized in association with FOGSI Silchar, this camp featured renowned gynecologists of Assam who provided comprehensive consultations, screenings, and preventive health guidance. 2.ORS Week & ORS Day Observation: This awareness drive included live demonstrations of ORS preparation and a Child Health Check-up Camp conducted by leading pediatricians. the program emphasized the importance of ORS in preventing dehydration and improving child survival, particularly in vulnerable communities. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Rtn. Dr. Asim Kanti Adhikary, D.G Elect, RID 3240.
